Can I design a jersey entirely using AI?
Yes. You can use an AI tool to create a design and then have it reviewed by owayo. It’s important that the design is technically suitable for printing and that you own the necessary usage rights.
Can owayo produce any AI-generated jersey design?
owayo can adapt almost any template so that it is ready for printing. In some cases, specific colour requests (e.g., glossy gold) cannot be accommodated. If the necessary usage rights for logos, themes, or brand names are not available, owayo is not permitted to produce the custom jersey design.
Can I use well-known logos or brands in my AI design?
Only if you have the appropriate rights. Copyrighted logos, trademarks, characters, or designs may not be used without permission.
Are the owayo logos printed on the jerseys?
Our products always come with printed owayo manufacturer logos and sewn-in owayo labels. The exact placement of the owayo manufacturer logos will be determined in consultation with you when your design template is implemented. In some cases, we can remove the manufacturer logos for an additional fee. For the reasons the sewn-in labels cannot be removed.
Which AI tools are suitable for jersey designs?
Image generators such as Nano-Banana, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL·E, or similar tools are well-suited for creating designs. However, you can also use an AI that isn’t specialized in image generation, such as ChatGPT, to create your jersey design. The tool itself isn't so important, rather the quality of the exported design.
Can owayo print my AI design directly?
owayo reviews each and every AI design. Not every design is immediately ready for printing, as resolution, colours, design layout, fonts, and product shape must all be taken into account. If the quality of the template is insufficient for printing, owayo can often improve the quality. The better the design you submit, the closer the final jersey will match your design.
How much does it cost to have an AI-designed jersey produced?
The AI design review is free. The cost of producing your AI design depends on the product, the details you want, and the quality of the template. However, owayo can at least tell you in advance exactly how much it will cost to produce your AI jersey design. In addition to the production costs, you’ll also need to pay for the individual products.
Which file formats are suitable for uploading?
Generally, all image file formats are suitable for uploading. High-resolution image files such as PNG or JPG, or vector graphics such as CDR, EPS, or SVG, work particularly well. However, you can also upload other formats, such as PDF. Logos, colour specifications, or additional views can help us estimate the cost of producing your AI jersey design.
Can I include names and numbers on my AI jersey design?
Yes, names, numbers, and team names can be part of the design. It’s important that they are clearly legible and correctly placed on the front or back. If you’d like different names and numbers on each jersey, you should upload the desired font or at least specify it. Alternatively, owayo can suggest for a suitable font for you. However, this font may differ slightly from the one on your template.
What can I do if my AI-generated design doesn't look exactly the way I want it to?
It’s possible that text or other elements on your AI jersey design might not look exactly the way you envisioned. Please let us know when you upload your file what changes you’d like us to make to your design. We’ll then make a suggestion. Please note that with these adjustments, we may not be able to implement every single detail exactly as you imagine it. If you’d like a highly detailed design, you can take advantage of our custom design service. Since the custom design service generally involves significantly more work, the cost for implementation will be higher accordingly.
For which sports can I use AI jersey designs?
AI designs can be used on jerseys for many sports, depending on the design and product — for example, darts, eSports, soccer, basketball, cycling, running, or team apparel.
What services are included in the cost of producing my AI jersey design?
owayo transfers the design from your template to the patterns of the products you wish to order. If not all areas of the jersey are visible on your template, we’ll extend the design in those areas. If the quality of your template isn’t high enough for printing, we’ll enhance it.
How long will it take to receive a response to my enquiry?

How long will it take for my AI jersey design to be produced?
The production time is the standard production time for the respective product. Depending on the product, the quantity ordered, and the time of year, this can take anywhere between 7 and 28 days. Our staff will be happy to provide you with the current production time.
